What Treatment Level do I need?

Koppers products are generally treated to either a Hazard Level H4 (suitable for outside, in ground contact) or H5 (outside, in ground or fresh water) level.  H4 timber is generally suitable for non-structural and landscaping timbers whereas H5 is ideal for engineered retaining walls, building poles, structural or critical end-use applications.

Do note, however, that the hazard level of treatment is not related to the stress grade or other engineering properties of timber.

For a complete Hazard Level Guide, visit our Hazard Level Guide section.
